Description: This saree features a Red color body with a Beige color border bearing a floral jaal in meenakari. Two prevalent techniques of handweaving are used here. Kadhiyal and Menakari. Kadiyal technique of weaving helps achieve a border in a different fabric or/and in a sharply contrasting color using multiple changes in warp and the weft shuttle. The fine Meenakari technique involves the tedious addition of supplementary colored resham threads during the hand-weaving process.
